The mountain hamlet where Lee Seo-jin and Ok Taec-yeon tended a vegetable patch and cooked their meals in Three Meals a Day is Deogu-ri in Buk-myeon, Jeongseon, in Korea's Gangwon highlands. From potato dumpling soup to wild-herb spreads, the local ingredients of Jeongseon went straight onto the table.
Deogu-ri is a remote village ringed by sheer rock cliffs and a winding river. Combine it with the nearby Hwaam Cave, Arari Village and the Jeongseon five-day market (on dates ending in 2 and 7) for a natural overnight tour of the Gangwon mountains.
The actual filming house is private property with limited outside viewing, so it's best to focus on the village scenery and the town of Jeongseon.
