The turn-of-the-century Hanseong (old Seoul) that Lee Byung-hun and Kim Tae-ri walked through in Mr. Sunshine is a real, walkable place: Sunshine Studio in Nonsan, South Chungcheong. Built specifically for the drama on a 20,000㎡ site, it reopened as a tourist attraction after filming wrapped.
Western-style buildings, hanok and thatched houses, Japanese-era storefronts and an early-1900s tram are arranged so you can stroll straight into the show’s world. Renting a period costume to wander the streets is half the fun.
Open 10:00–18:00 (last entry 17:30), closed Wednesdays. Combine with Nonsan’s Gwanchoksa Temple and Tapjeong Lake for a day in Chungcheong.
