VisitingFree, open year-round — photo spot at the end of the breakwater; bring a red scarf like the fans do; mind the waves and wind.

One of the most replayed moments in the global hit K-drama Goblin (Guardian: The Lonely and Great God) is the scene where Ji Eun-tak blows out her birthday candles and the Goblin, Kim Shin, suddenly materializes before her. That moment was filmed on the breakwater at Yeongjin Beach in Jumunjin, Gangneung, on Korea's east coast.

Stand at the end of the breakwater with the sea behind you and you'll recreate the drama's exact framing. Fans wrapped in red scarves come here year-round, making it Jumunjin's signature 'Goblin photo spot.' The adjacent Yeongjin Beach is also a wide-open sunrise viewpoint over the East Sea.

Pair it with Anmok Beach, Gyeongpo, and Jeongdongjin in the same Gangneung area for a full east-coast K-drama day.
