Gunwi Sikdang, on Gyeongsang-gamyeong-gil in the heart of Daegu, drew fresh crowds after appearing on Sung Si-kyung's popular YouTube food show 'Mukeultende.' It's an old-school restaurant in downtown Daegu, near Gyeongsang-gamyeong Park.
The house specialty is Daegu-style 'mungtigi' — freshly sliced raw Korean beef dipped in sesame oil and garlic. Chewy, fresh raw beef alongside yukhoe (beef tartare) and soups is the way to go.
It's right in the city center, easy to combine with Dongseong-ro, the Kim Kwang-seok Road and Seomun Market for a Daegu food day. As an old establishment, check its hours and closing days before you go.
