When the cast of 2 Days & 1 Night Season 4 'just really wanted dakgalbi,' they headed for the dakgalbi alley in Chuncheon's Myeongdong. A hot plate piled with spicy stir-fried chicken, finished off with chewy makguksu noodles, is the Chuncheon-style meal that starred in the episode.
The Myeongdong dakgalbi alley sits in the heart of downtown Chuncheon, a five-minute walk from city hall, where long-running dakgalbi and makguksu restaurants line the street. It began in the 1960s, grilling marinated chicken over charcoal in place of pork ribs, and is now stir-fried on a hot plate with cabbage, sweet potato and rice cake.
It's close to Chuncheon and Namchuncheon stations, and with shops clustered together you can move next door if there's a line. Afterward, continue to the Soyang River, Gongjicheon or Kim Yu-jeong Station.
