Gudambong is where the cast of 2 Days & 1 Night Season 4 climbed to the summit and marveled at the view in the Danyang episode. The wide-open landscape of Danyang's mountains and water was captured straight on camera.
Gudambong takes its name from the turtle-patterned rock that rises over the waters of Chungju Lake, and together with Oksunbong it belongs to Danyang's Eight Scenic Views. Take the excursion boat from Janghoe Naru to look up at Gudambong and Oksunbong from the water, or hike the trail to the summit for a view that takes in both the lake and the peaks.
Combine it with Danyang's other sights — Dodamsambong, the Mancheonha Skywalk and paragliding — for a natural overnight tour of the Chungbuk region.
