Guryongpo, a historic harbor in Pohang, is best known to drama fans as ‘Ongsan’ — the town where Dongbaek ran her bar in the beloved series When the Camellia Blooms. Its early-1900s Japanese-era street (Guryongpo Modern Culture History Street) is the heart of that set.
The same port is also a culinary landmark: it is the home of gwamegi, half-dried fish cured in the winter sea wind. The variety show 2 Days & 1 Night came here for it as well. Stroll the heritage street, then warm up with gwamegi, spicy mori-guksu noodles and snow crab.
Gwamegi is a winter delicacy (Nov–Feb). Pair with the Homigot Cape sunrise for a full Pohang trip.
