Baengnyeongdo is a border island around four hours by ferry from Incheon. Its highlights are the folding-screen cliffs of Dumujin, Sagot Beach (firm enough to have served as a natural airstrip) and the unusual pebbles of Kongdol Beach.
Sailings are often cancelled with weather and tides, and some areas are restricted military zones. Plan a generous two-night stay and check the ferry operator's schedule before you go.
