Geomundo is shaped by three islands — Dongdo, Seodo and Godo — cradling a calm inner sea between them, more than two hours by ferry from Yeosu. It has a history as a base for the British fleet before the colonial era, and its highlights are the camellia-forest walk leading to the Geomundo Lighthouse at the tip of Seodo and a cruise to the uninhabited Baekdo islets.
Ferries are infrequent and weather-sensitive, so plan an overnight and check sailings before you go. Pair it with Yeosu's night sea and stone-crab soy marinade for a southern-coast trip.
