Uljin is where the cast of 2 Days & 1 Night Season 1 roamed the midwinter east coast, touring Uljin's scenic spots including Seongnyugul Cave and Buryeong Valley in the same episode.
Seongnyugul is a natural-monument limestone cave nicknamed the 'underground Geumgang' because its stalagmites and stalactites resemble Mt. Geumgang. The year-round steady temperature and mysterious limestone formations are the draw. The nearby Buryeong Valley, reachable by car, winds for about 15 km past Buddha Rock and Love Rock.
Pair it with the Hupo Deunggisan Skywalk and the Jukbyeon coast for an overnight on the Uljin east coast.
