Udo Island (Jeju)

Udo is the little island off the eastern tip of Jeju where the variety show 2 Days & 1 Night splashed into the sea. Its name means ‘Cow Island’ — from a distance it resembles a reclining cow.

Ferries run about 15 minutes from Seongsanpo Port. On the island, loop around by electric cart, bike or on foot: Seobinbaeksa (a beach of bleached coral), Geommeolle black-sand beach, and the view from Udobong peak are the highlights.

Combine it with Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak) for an eastern-Jeju overnight. In peak season private cars are restricted, so plan around the cart or bike.
