Yokjido, off Tongyeong on Korea's south coast, is the island where the cast of 2 Days & 1 Night Season 1 boarded a dawn boat to go mackerel fishing. The famous 'five minutes that felt like fifty' fishing scene happened on these waters.
Yokjido lies about 30 km south of Tongyeong. It's a 50–55 minute car ferry from Samdeok or Junghwa Port, or about 1 hour 30 minutes by passenger ferry from Tongyeong Port. The island's highlights are Goraedeung Beach, the suspension bridge and the coastal loop road with its sweeping South Sea views.
Ferry schedules change often with the season, weather and operator, so plan an overnight rather than a day trip and check sailings before you go. Back in Tongyeong, continue with chungmu gimbap and the harbor night view.
